One of the things you learn from years of dealing with drug people, is that you can turn your back on a person, but never turn your back on a drug.

9. Write about your ideal day. What would you do? What would you not do?
First off, I would wake up feeling rested. I would get out of the house on time without feeling rushed. I would go to my writing job… which I love, and be early. I would greet my friends at work, and get to my desk. I would work hard and interact kthrough the office with a bunch of great people. I would have a tasty and healthy lunch, then, when I went home, I would not get stuck in traffic. I would get home and spend time with Matt and Mariah. I would make a delicious dinner and enjoy the time that I had at home. I would go to bed and fall straight to sleep, ready to do it all over again.

Poor kitty….
I don’t usually post stuff like this on my tumblr. I have a private journal/blog that I write on (and nobody knows the name of) so that I can just vent my feelings, but this one I think could be interesting for anyone who’s looking to challenge the way they hink about themselves. I made a 15-day list of things to do, making you examine yourself. It only takes 2 weeks +1 day, so why not have a crack at it?
If you do try it, please let me know how it goes.
~~~~~~~~~~~*******************************~~~~~~~~~~~
So, I’m going to try and take some time over the next 15 days to work on these little exercises that I’ve compiled for myself so that I can work toward feeling better about me. I think that’s one of my big problems; a lack of confidence in the kind of person I am. I believe I’m a good person to a certain degree, but there is some part of me that doesn’t. I don’t say this in a pity me sort of way, but just a factual, them’s the breaks sort of way. So I’m going to start here by putting together a list of exercises that I think will help me to combat some of this negativity.
- In a time of intensity, take a moment to step back and evaluate ths situation. BE AWARE. Write it down and record it here later.
- Be conscious of the choices you make in a day. Take a look back over the course of the day and see if there’s a choice you could have made differently. Take a look at why, and how it could have changed the outcome. Also think about how it would have made you feel.
- Take 10 minutes to just meditate. Write down how you feel both before and afterward. Be as descriptive as you can.
- Write down three POSITIVE things about yourself. Explain why you feel that way.
- Write three NEGATIVE things about yourself. Explain why, and how you can either change the trait or how you can change your thinking.
- Write one thing you did really well today. Something you’re proud of. It doesn’t have to be big. Just something good.
- Write down as many things that you enjoy that you can in 15 minutes. Don’t give up on the list. The first 10-15 are easy. It’s when you have to dig that it gets interesting!
- Talk about a talent you’re proud of.
- Write about your ideal day. What would you do? What would you not do?
- Talk about something that you’re grateful for in your life. Talk about why it’s so great. Be fortunate.
- Be as actively positive as you can be all day. See how that changes the attitude of those around you.
- Do something silly, big or small, and relish in it. AS long as you enjoy it, who cares what anyone else thinks. Write about the experience.
- What goals do you have. what are your plans about getting there?
- Is it them or you? Look at what’s holding you back, and see where you’re holding yourself back. Cut those shackles. put them in print and say you will no longer be bound by them.
- Write a short, personal manifesto on why you are who you are, and why you should love yourself. Look back over the last 14 days and see all the great things you have said about yourself.
Wish me luck!
